The Authority may have won when the world ended—it was chaos and we were too weak to fight back— but they can’t erase us all. The subtle shift of Anthem City’s spirit has gone unnoticed, but when the guards show up and no one scurries back into their respective holes, it’s easy to understand the meaning. My neighbors: survivors–people who’d escaped the zombies, the cancers, and the Authority . . they’re tougher than we give them credit for.

With stiff spines and steely resolves, they’ve hardened into citizens ready to fight for the last city on earth.

Feet plant and fists clench.

This isn’t some petty rebellion.

This means war.

Why are all these choices horror or unpleasant subjects? I don’t read that sort of trash. Don’t you have any positive, uplifting or reality-based, intelligent reading material to offer.
